Starting this week's innovation module, we had a 15 minute check in with Roddy and Sara as always, asking if any questions need answering and how we are getting on with deadlines etc. Next, Roddy introduced Kath Davies, Davies runs the cultural development for Kirklees Council. Kath was here to talk about the new Huddersfield 10 year blueprint with us and explain what and why this was happening. This showed us what Huddersfield and the town centre could look like in those 10 years, changing each section of the town bit by bit. We started to look at what could change and how the Queensgate section could be turned into a cultural hub for the future.

After the presentation by Kath, we went into Discord with our group to work on the development of our business project. We met up and started to talk about what everyone has done this week on their individual tasks and the developments they have made. I stated that I am well on track of the Instagram page and sharing the teams work daily along with the Gantt chart successfully completed. Jack started to share his screen with us to show his game development with the group and see if there was anything we wanted changing or adding.
Screen shotted images by me of the shared screen by Jack.
During Jack's presentation of the video game, he stated that there were many shop's in the game that would take him a long time to fill before the deadline and asked if I was able to develop and create some 'coming soon' shop window fronts for the game. This was a task of using a more design practice for me as it was new to me but very simple, I managed to get some creative and simple shop signs created using Power Point and sent these to Jack to place in the game. I found this to be a great way of collaborating with a games designer and a way for me to get some new design skills for the future.

The tasks for the next week for our group is to continue on collaboration work within the group to get the website, logo and video game near to completion, along with preparing for our formative assessment next Wednesday (11th November 2020)
We plan to have 3 slides each on our development and collaborative work to show the tutors and the other members of the MA. This week I have started to collaborate more on the creative side of the project, working with Jack and Chris, I am still uploading to the groups Instagram and will start to create a business plan next week to present to our tutors.
Development work from this week by Shauna, Renea and Chris.
