Barbie is a project looking at the falseness of body image.

Here you can clearly see a Barbie doll, my images go from top to bottom of this doll and look at just how fake the doll is and the fact it's plastic; she isn't real. 

​

From this my project portrays how young girls and women idealise this natural figure and wish to be this perfect example of a female. The closeness of the images taken with a Nikon and macro lens get close enough to show beauty but at a cost of it not being real.
