On Monday 5th October, we as a group decided to plan a Discord meeting to have a small catch up on our project. The service that we will provide was to be revised and planned, along with giving jobs out to each member of the group to complete during the project. As a collective we have come up with the idea of creating a video game walkthrough of the market hall space, here members of the public will be able to access a piece of software on their computer device and gain entry to the market space. Here they will see all different types of work on display, from photography pieces to art illustrations and graphic designs. To get the idea off the ground and running we have come up with some ways of promoting our service, creating flyers and posters to place around the Huddersfield area and along with this creating a QR code to place on these posters. These will be accessed by the public using smartphones and the information will be there to access on their mobile of our website for this service.
This week's Job Roles
Jack - Start to create the walkthrough using Unreal Engine software.
Jocelyn - Creation of the future/concept design.
Chris & Renea - Creation of our website/shop creation and QR code.
Shauna/Grace - Social Media development / Poster creation / Marketing
As a team everyone has the role of doing their skill set jobs but also once the service is ready everyone will be expected to promote our service using their social media platforms.
This will generate interest from the general public and also from leading academics, creative companies and scholars.
Notes taken by me and sent to the team.
Evidence
We had a brief in-site to the work Jack will be creating with the video game walkthrough, below are the screenshots taken when Jack was explaining how the walkthrough could look using Unreal Engine.

Above you can see that we started to come up with some names for our service and how we could brand the service. This will be developed further in next weeks session.

This piece of creative video work is something new that I have researched upon. These videos are of doctors/nurses and paramedics on the struggle of Covid-19, the daily lives of these NHS workers on the front line of the pandemic.

The use of colour, video and sound for this piece works amazingly. Looking at ancient religious imagery and pop culture and turning into a live creative performance.
Academic Workflow Session - Simon Poulter
S.Poulter University of Huddersfield . Workflow. Brightspace. https://brightspace.hud.ac.uk/d2l/le/content/118032/Home
Today Simon Poulter presented to the class on ways of working in structure and creating a workflow. Looking into technical terms in different languages and how I can develop my 'soft skills' and create new harder skills in my personal and group practice. Simon showed us how to plan the workflow of project, stating you need to devise, develop, iterate and test your product/service before manufacturing, delivering, marketing and gaining feedback on your product or service. My group has taken all of Simon's points board and have started to generate a business and project plan in order to create a successful service.
Along with the session by Simon, we were asked to create two slides showing our personal practice and present to the groups. I have two slides showing my professional and creative practice, along with showing work from my final year project as a BA undergrad at the University of Huddersfield. I was given great feedback on my personal practice and told to use this in the group project as much as i could, Simon gave me an artist to research - Helen Chadwick and her work 'piss flowers'
